Reka Vadasz

The programme is fine. Thank you for the travel arrangements. Could you tell us some things about the weather?
Hope to see you soon.

Brigitte Gruson

Same for me!
Thanks a lot for all the arrangements. I'll certainly take advantage of your evening offers!
Looking forward to meeting everybody. Brigitte

The weather in Scotland

Colleagues - yesterday (Thursday 4 May) the temperature suddenly rose from 12 to 22 degrees for the first time this year. This sudden rise in temperature is quite normal for Scotland. The warm day was followed by an amazing storm of thunder and lightning which lasted 2 hours last night - not so normal! Today the weather is sunny and warm

By the time you get here, we expect to be having temperatures of 20-23 degrees, quite a lot of sunshine but - because we live near the sea - perhaps some rain showers . You need to bring with you lots of t shirts, one cardigan or jacket for the cooler evenings and for the walk by the sea at Culzean Castle - and an umbrella!

Reka Vadasz

Dear Jean,
to receive my visa I need a letter of invitation from the organizers, which should contain the period and the reason of my travelling. Could you send me one this week please?
Our fax number is: +40213451985 or 0040213451985. Thanks a lot.

JeanNisbet

Reka - I'm quite concerned that you have not received this invitation, which we sent to you at the address on your Arion application in January. However, I will ask our administrator to fax the invitation to you again. Jean

Reka Vadasz

I have not received any invitation. As soon as I get the fax I'll let you know. Thanks a lot.

Reka Vadasz

I received the invitation, thank you very much. I hope everything is OK.

Etienne MICHA

Thank you for the arrangements.
See you soon,

Etienne

Brigitte Gruson

Hello everybody!

I've just had a quick look at Brian's first photos. They look great! Unfortunateley I can't see the rest because I don't know which user's name and password I should use... Can you help me?
I've also tried to visit language zone but the only available page is the first one... the other pages can't be found even when I use the name and password Mark gave us (arion / arion).
I want to thank the whole team again for the time we had in Kilmarnock. Eeverything was wonderfully planned. I'll always remember the kindness with which we were welcome everywhere we went.
Best wishes to everybody. Brigitte

Colleagues - please use the first link above - you won't need a password for this:

Reka Vadasz

The photos are great, but I can see only those which are in the blog. I cannot open the typepad. Are there different photos?

Thank you for everything again,
Best wishes to everybody,
Reka

JeanNisbet

Reka - you should be able to see about 30 photographs altogether. I haven't put any others up - but if anyone wants to email me photographs, I can post them so we can all share!

JeanNisbet

Forgot to say: the temperature in Kilmarnock today was 27 degrees!

Reka Vadasz

Is it possible to post the group report on the blog? I need it next week. I asked Martine to send it to me but I haven't received it.

JeanNisbet

Reka - I'll email Martine to remind her to do this....By the way, we are ready to send you the DVD of days 3-5 of your visit. Joanne will post it to the address on your Arion application form but if you have any special instructions for delivery, please contact Joanne at:

Our schools are going on holiday on 29 June and things are pretty quiet now, so we're doing a bit of planning. East Ayrshire is going to host a Scottish-German summer camp in August and we will be sending our young people on work experience to France in September and Germany in October. Then in November - very exciting! - we've been asked by the Alliance Française to host a mock European Parliament debate. And our friends in Singapore have proposed a joint English language project.

Meanwhile, I am planning to visit the beautiful island of Colonsay (population 125) in August, Ulricehamn in Sweden in September for a conference and back to my beloved Languedoc-Roussillon in October. I hope you have all survived the exam season and are well.....Big news; Stuart is going to be a Grandad!!!!!

Paixekeh

Maybe I`ll be Captain Obvious, but... it's only few days to New Year last, so let's be happy!
Hoho3ho!)
